Bandai Spirits Reissues Three Advance of Z Gunpla Kits on Premium Bandai

Bandai Spirits is reissuing three Gunpla items: the HG 1/144 Hizack Custom (A.O.Z RE-BOOT Ver.) at 3,080 yen, the MG 1/100 MS-14C Gelgoog Cannon (MSV Color), and a Gundam Decal DX 09 set for the ADVANCE OF Z series. Pre-orders open on Premium Bandai at 11:00 on Thursday, September 10, 2026, with the Hizack Custom scheduled to ship in January 2027.

Gundam MSV Began as Book Illustrations, Not Gunpla

Magmix traces the origins of Mobile Suit Gundam's MSV line, which launched as Gunpla in April 1983 but began two years earlier as magazine and book illustrations by mecha designer Kunio Okawara. The first MSV designs appeared in a 1981 Kodansha mook, followed by the GUNDAM CENTURY book and a Comic BomBom serialization.

Premium Bandai Opens Second Lottery for G.F.F.M.C. Zaku Desert Type Figure

Premium Bandai is running a second lottery sale for the GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE MS-06D Zaku Desert Type figure. The 180mm die-cast figure, supervised by Hajime Katoki, includes new modeling for desert combat, a rotating mono-eye, and a full weapon loadout with missile pods and cracker pods. Applications close July 19; winners announced late July. Price: 33,000 yen, shipping January 2027.

Premium Bandai Re-Releases Four Gunpla Kits, Johnny Ridden Customs and Hi-Nu Gundam

Premium Bandai will begin accepting pre-orders for re-releases of four Gunpla kits on July 9. Three are Johnny Ridden custom mobile suits from Mobile Suit Gundam MSV: MG Gelgoog, MG Zaku II, and HG Gelgoog. The fourth is the MG Hi-Nu Gundam Ver.Ka. Each kit has limited production quantities, and pre-orders may close once allocations are met. Prices range from 2,640 yen to 8,140 yen.

Premium Bandai Opens Reservations for MG 1/100 G-Armor Real Type Color

Premium Bandai begins accepting reservations on May 21 for the MG 1/100 G-Armor Real Type Color, a kit from the Mobile Suit Gundam MSV-R design project. The G-Fighter and Gundam combine into multiple forms including G-Armor, G-Sky, and G-Bull. Priced at 11,880 yen, shipping is set for September 2026.
