Matsuken Anime Pop-Up Store Opens at Tokyo Anime Center on October 30

The Matsuken Anime pop-up store runs from October 30 to November 8, 2026, at Tokyo Anime Center in DNP PLAZA SHIBUYA, with free admission. The venue has introduction panels, setting artwork, a photo spot with Matsuken and Matsuinu standees, and a Settlement Offering Site where visitors write grudges on ema-style cards. Nineteen goods items are listed, including made-to-order smartphone cases and smart grip stands. TOHAN handles concept and goods planning, and events at bookstores and commercial facilities are planned after Tokyo.

Matsuken Samba II VRChat Costume and Dance Motion Launch September 9

ARROVA will sell a Matsuken Samba II costume and dance motion with music as VRChat digital fashion on the TOKYO AVATAR GATE marketplace starting September 9, 2026 at 17:00. The items are based on 3D model and motion data from Ken Matsudaira's previous virtual live performances, with ARROVA producing and V Inc. handling the VRChat costume and gimmick implementation. Material data comes from Sanki Promotion and Shogakukan. Three products go on sale: a set combining the kimono costume with the dance motion and music gimmick for 1,650 yen, and the costume alone or the gimmick alone for 1,100 yen each. The gimmick lets desktop users dance the Matsuken Samba II along with the music. A limited-time event runs in the TOKYO AVATAR GATE world on VRChat from September 12 to October 2, 2026. During the event, an 'All-Night Matsuken Time Signal' plays the song once an hour at five minutes past, and twice an hour on Fridays. The world also holds a hunt for 10 hidden Mini Matsuken figures and a photo spot with Ken Matsudaira's 3D model and a gold flurry filter.

Matsuken Anime Sets August 29 Debut, Casts Ken Matsudaira and Sumire Uesaka

Tatsunoko Production announced the short anime project Matsuken Anime will debut August 29 on YouTube. Ken Matsudaira voices the title character Matsuken, and Sumire Uesaka voices his dog companion Matsu Inu. Daisuke Namikawa voices other characters. The project adapts Matsudaira's 'Matsuken Samba' songs into stories where good triumphs over evil.

Matsuken Acrylic Stands Go on Sale at Sea Paradise

Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise began selling blind-box acrylic stands for the Matsuken Mamire Mamire Island summer campaign with actor Ken Matsudaira on August 22. Five designs are available at 770 yen each at the Frendia and Jinbe SHOP. The event, originally ending August 31, now runs to September 7, with an emergency Matsuken visit set for September 8.
