Manifest Unknown Announced, a Story-Driven Train Sim With a Hidden Mystery
Folklore Games announced Manifest Unknown during the Steam Railway Fest on July 20, 2026. The story-driven train simulation casts players as Brenda, a new locomotive engineer for the Union Central Railroad who drives a steam locomotive to handle freight and mail delivery to support her family. Players plan routes, drive the train, and sort mail, earning bonuses for timely accurate work and facing deductions for lateness or damage. An Easy Mode with automatic driving is available. But behind the daily tasks, an unsettling secret is hidden along the tracks. The company advises players not to investigate, forcing a choice between following orders and uncovering the truth. Release is set for 2027.
