Makoto Morishita's manga The Fledgling Demon Lord's Starter Shop has a television anime set for January 2027. A second teaser, key visual, and character visual are out, with Yohei Azakami added to the cast as Ash.
Makoto Morishita's The Fledgling Demon Lord's Starter Shop is headed to television in January 2027. The adaptation was announced with a teaser video and visual, naming Reiji Kawashima and Rumi Ōkubo in the cast and Jun Hira as director at project No.9. The January 2027 window has held across both stories about the project.
The second round of material added a character visual and a new cast member: Yohei Azakami as Ash, the hero who once defeated the demon lord. Kawashima and Rumi Okubo remain attached to the roles of Villager and Mao. The broadcast plan now names Tokyo MX, MBS, BS11, and other channels, and Jun Taira is listed as director in the newer story, replacing Jun Hira from the announcement.
What is settled is the window and the production base. What has shifted in the coverage is the directing credit, where the two stories give different names. The source manga runs in English through Kodansha's K MANGA service, so the anime arrives with the original material already available to overseas readers.
