VIVANT's Hijab-Clad Field Agent Tashiro Draws Praise for Azerbaijani Delivery
VIVANT season 2 episode 17 made a talking point of the local field agent Tashiro, played by Leyla Mada, whose hijab-covered appearance and fluent Azerbaijani drew praise. Tashiro first appeared in episode 15 photographing public security officer Nozaki, played by Hiroshi Abe, during his undercover work against the Chinese intelligence organization Xinxi. In episode 17 she investigated a cafeteria owner near Shaki Castle in the Gorbad Republic. Mada has worked as a singer since 2013, with live shows in Taiwan, China and Macau.
