Kuniyoshi Immersive Art Exhibition Opens at Kyoto City Museum Through September
The KUNIYOSHI IMMERSIVE ART exhibition opened July 18 at the Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art, running to September 23. Produced by HITOHATA as a spin-off of the Moving Ukiyo-e Exhibition, it uses 3DCG animation and projection mapping to bring over 50 Utagawa Kuniyoshi works to life, including Miyamoto Musashi and the Giant Whale and Soma no Furudairi. The installation is part of the larger Ukiyo-e Super Creator: Utagawa Kuniyoshi Exhibition, which displays about 200 works across six genres.
