The Ramparts of Ice Season 2 Premieres October 1

The television anime adaptation of Kōcha Agasawa's manga The Ramparts of Ice will return for a second season on October 1, 2026. The announcement followed the broadcast of the 14th episode of the first season on July 2. The new season will air on Thursdays at 11:56 p.m. on TBS and 27 affiliated channels. A teaser visual accompanied the announcement. The first season premiered in April 2026 and streams globally on Netflix. The anime is produced by Studio KAI, with Mankyū directing and Yasuhiro Nakanishi handling series scripts. The cast includes Anna Nagase as Koyuki Hikawa, Shōya Chiba as Minato Amamiya, Fūka Izumi as Miki Azumi, and Satoshi Inomata as Yota Hino. The manga originally ran as a webtoon on the LINE Manga app from January 2020 to April 2022, and Shueisha published its 14th and final compiled volume in February 2025. The manga was nominated for the 69th Shogakukan Manga Awards in 2023 and ranked second in the Rakuten Kobo E-book Awards' Vertical Scroll Comic category in 2024.

You and I Are Polar Opposites Season 2 Reveals Opening Song Artist 7co in New Trailer

The staff for the second season of the You and I Are Polar Opposites anime released a new promotional video on May 25, 2026, that previews the opening theme song and introduces the artist. The opening theme is "Nekojarashi," performed by 7co (read as Nanako), who wrote the song specifically for the anime. It is 7co's major debut single. The season also adds three chief animation directors: Tamami Izawa, who worked on the first season as a main animator; Sara Sakoe; and Sayuri Sakimoto. Eriko Kimura joins as sound director. The second season is set to premiere on July 5, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. JST on MBS, TBS, and 26 other networks. Crunchyroll will stream the season. Takakazu Nagatomo directs at Lapin Track, with Teruko Utsumi handling series composition and animation production. The first season aired from January 11, 2026. The manga, written and illustrated by Kocha Agasawa, ran on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ from May 2022 to November 2024, and its eighth and final volume shipped in March 2025.
