PARCO GAMES will run the pop-up store "KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS x PARCO GAMES STRAND STORE" at Nagoya PARCO from October 17 to October 25, 2026, following runs in Shibuya and Shinsaibashi. The event sells the first official merchandise for OD - KNOCK, the title Kojima Productions is co-developing with Xbox Game Studios, alongside collaboration goods from more than 15 brands.
Hideo Kojima appeared during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 Broadcast on September 17 and gave a status update on OD: KNOCK, the horror project in development at Kojima Productions. Performance capture work, which had been suspended because of a strike, resumed this year and is moving according to plan. Kojima named Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer as the lead actors and asked viewers to look forward to their performances. He described the project as an unprecedented and completely new challenging game that pushes the limits of horror, and said that after repeated trial and error and experimentation the work is gradually taking shape. He added that he feels it is coming together and asked audiences to wait a while longer for more information. The broadcast ran from 19:00, and after the stream Kojima walked on stage at Xbox FanFest Tokyo, held alongside Tokyo Game Show 2026.
Publisher Cheesecake Dev announced that No Knock, an open-world theft simulator, launches August 12 on PC via Steam. Players break into homes, steal valuables, and sell them for cash. The game supports Japanese and includes hitman jobs, police fights, and property purchases.
Hanji Co. has added a red-ink correction feature to its AI tutor Knock. Students photograph handwritten answers and receive visual red-ink markings on the image, identifying errors and providing advice within tens of seconds. The feature supports up to university entrance exam level. It was developed by analyzing hundreds of student answers and consulting teachers to replicate the familiar teacher correction experience.
QuizKnock released a video on June 17 revisiting its water slide challenge, first done in 2019. The project returns as part of the group's 10th anniversary in October 2026. Eight members attempt a perfect score on the University Admission Common Test while riding a 40.5m water slide.
