ASCII.jp reports that all 35 volumes of the Keroro Gunsou manga are part of a Kindle sale offering 50% point back. The sale comes as the franchise's new theatrical film is currently showing and causing a stir in various ways. The full set is priced at 15,496 yen, with 7,759 points returned.

A weeklong campaign for the new Sgt. Frog film, "New Theatrical Version☆Sgt. Frog: Revival and Immediate Crisis of Earth's Destruction Desu!," runs June 22-28 at MAGNET by SHIBUYA109. The exterior wall displays the main visual, participating restaurants give away original stickers with purchases over ¥500, and a digital stamp rally offers an original wallpaper. A social media giveaway for six winners of original goods is also underway.

The first theatrical film in the Keroro Gunsou series, Chou Gekijouban Keroro Gunsou, began streaming on the Japanese free ad-supported platform TVer on June 21, 2026. The 2006 film will be available for one week, through June 28. This marks the first time the movie has been distributed on TVer. The film was directed by Nobuhiro Kondo and features a voice cast including Kumiko Watanabe as Keroro, Etsuko Kozakura, Joji Nakata, Takehito Koyasu, and the late Tomoko Kawakami. The streaming launch coincides with the upcoming release of the franchise's first new theatrical film in 16 years, Shin Gekijouban Keroro Gunsou: Fukkatsu Shite Soku Chikyuu Metsubou no Kiki de Arimasu!, which opens in Japanese theaters on June 26. The new film is written and chief directed by Yuichi Fukuda, with Toshimitsu Osa directing. The original Keroro Gunsou manga was created by Mine Yoshizaki.

A pre-release event for the new Keroro Gunsou film was held in Tokyo on June 16. Cast members Kumiko Watanabe, Etsuko Kozakura, ano, and Soshu discussed the film, the first theatrical entry in 16 years. Kozakura praised the death voice technique in the theme songs performed by ano and Soshu.

Ahead of the first new Keroro Gunso film in 16 years, the franchise has announced its first official collaboration with Mobile Suit Gundam. Footage shows Gundam appearing to help the Keroro Platoon, and new illustrations by Mine Yoshizaki and Yoshikazu Yasuhiko have been released. Collaboration plastic models will also be sold.

ABEMA will launch a limited-time special channel for the TV anime "Sgt. Frog" starting June 13, broadcasting all 358 episodes from the first seven seasons free daily until July 10. The channel commemorates the June 26 release of "New Theatrical Film☆Sgt. Frog: Revived and Quickly the Crisis of Earth's Annihilation, desu!," the first theatrical film in about 15 years. Episodes will be available for free catch-up viewing for one week after each broadcast. The original manga by Mine Yoshizaki began serialization in Monthly Shonen Ace in 1999. The TV anime adaptation debuted in 2004 and ran for seven years, producing five theatrical films during its original run. The completion preview screening for the first new Keroro Gunsou theatrical film in 16 years took place on June 3 in Tokyo.
