Sega's mascot Sonic the Hedgehog has joined the CREATOR division of professional esports team ZETA DIVISION for a limited summer period, the team announced on July 8, 2026. The surprise addition follows a February event called 'Sonic Racing CrossWorlds The k4sen,' where Sonic won a race and caught the attention of popular streamer k4sen. According to the announcement, Sonic and k4sen both celebrate their 35th anniversary this year, which served as a catalyst for the collaboration. Sonic reportedly said he could not sit still when hearing about hot challenges on the best stage. ZETA DIVISION is also marking its own 5th anniversary with a pop-up event in Tokyo from July 31 to August 2. Additional merchandise includes a collaboration gaming PC and LINE stamps featuring the team's mascot ZETA-kun. The team plans to develop various content with Sonic's involvement during the summer period.

Streamer k4sen's offline event The k4sen Con 2026 has added Junichi Kato, Moko, Oniya, and Yuyuta to its lineup. The four will appear in the stage content Real Buckshot Roulette on DAY1, August 8. Kato was previously scheduled for the same project in 2024 but withdrew before the event.

Sony announced the INZONE H9 II LTK 2026 LIMITED EDITION, a wireless gaming headset designed in collaboration with the League The k4sen event. The headset features the event logo on the housing and is available for pre-order through the ZETA DIVISION store until July 1, 2026, for 41,800 yen, with shipping expected around late September.

Streamer k4sen revealed a new VTuber form on a June 14 Twitch stream. The character, named Shinpo-kun, is a white fluffy mascot with Live2D modeling and interchangeable parts, designed by illustrator Touma Yuu. It will be used primarily for YouTube streams from home. This is k4sen's third VTuber transformation, following a 2018 hyper-realistic model and a 2024 realistic avatar for the Qiddiya Gaming booth at Tokyo Game Show.
