ibisWorks Releases Free Open-Source Office Suite ibisOffice
ibisWorks, the studio behind the free drawing app ibisPaint, released ibisOffice, a free open-source office suite that opens and edits Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. The desktop app runs on Windows and Mac; the browser version uses Wasm and WebGPU, and files stay in the browser. ibisOffice is written in Rust with GPU rendering and shares no code with older office suites. The code is on GitHub under AGPL-3.0-only, with a commercial license for products that cannot meet the AGPL terms.
