Super Kaguya Hime! Revival Screenings Set for September With Enhanced Formats

Twin Engine announced on June 19 that the anime film "Super Kaguya Hime!" will return to theaters for revival screenings starting September 18. The film, which ended its initial theatrical run on June 18 after four months, will be shown in multiple enhanced formats including MX4D, 4DX, ScreenX, ULTRA 4DX, and Dolby Atmos. Standard screenings will also resume. The announcement came during a stage greeting event held on June 19, the day after the film's scheduled conclusion. The original theatrical run began on February 20 following a Netflix release on January 22, during which the film drew over 1.2 million viewers and earned more than 2.5 billion yen at the box office. A special trailer for the revival screenings has been released. The film is a modern adaptation of "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter" set in a virtual space called Tsukuyomi, where characters Kaguya and Ayaha connect through livestreaming and music.
