Yoshiki Takaya, creator of Bio-Booster Armor Guyver, said in a message included with a Blu-ray release that he suffered a cerebral infarction and has partial paralysis. He apologized to fans, saying he does not believe he will ever be able to draw manga again.

RetroCrush announced on August 1 that it would add the live-action Dororo film with Japanese audio and the English dubbed version of The Guyver: Bio-Booster Armor OVA on August 21, and both are now streaming. The service is also adding Lone Wolf and Cub, Gonjam: Haunted Asylum, Shogun's Mission, and Bounty Hunter season 1, with Lethal Three: Sanbiki ga Kiru! arriving August 28.

Screaming Mad George, the special effects artist and director of the 1991 live-action The Guyver film, died on February 10 at age 69. His manager announced the news on Monday. He was known for effects work on Predator, Big Trouble in Little China, and the Nightmare on Elm Street sequels, and collaborated often with director Brian Yuzna.

Max Factory is releasing a new figma of Guyver III from the manga 'Bio Booster Armor Guyver'. The figure, numbered 700, features all-new sculpts and molds under the supervision of original creator Yoshiki Takaya. It includes a High-Frequency Sword, Unit G, and crossed arms parts. Pre-orders are live on Amazon Japan at 13,800 yen, with a release date of April 30, 2027.

Bill Wise, known for English dub roles including Bunta Fujiwara in the Initial D: Legend trilogy, Hayato Jin in Getter Robo: Armageddon, and Knuckles in the 1996 Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie OVA, has died at age 61. His death was reported by the Austin Chronicle on May 5, with his agency and a friend confirming the news earlier that week.
