Gundam ROGUE ORBIT

Gundam Rogue Orbit emerged from the Summer Game Fest 2026 livestream as a new original Gundam action game, not a port or spin-off. Bandai Namco Entertainment confirmed development by Bandai Namco Studios, with photorealistic graphics and high-speed combat. The protagonist, pilot Rex, controls the Gundam Helix alongside a partner Haro unit named Vee. Early screenshots and an announcement trailer established the visual direction and combat, which includes funnels, bits, and large melee weapons against beast-like robot enemies.

The game's world expanded in July 2026 when Bandai Namco Filmworks announced Mobile Suit Gundam RG Alex Zero, an anime sharing the same setting under the RG Project initiative. The anime is set about 100 years before the game and depicts the origin of the shared history. In that timeline, humanity expanded across the solar system using technologies from an interstellar object, which went rogue and spawned aggressive self-replicating silicon lifeforms called Apocalypse. The anime's protagonist, Azumi Rei, voiced by Takeo Otsuka, pilots the Gundam ZERO against this threat. Kenji Kamiyama directs and handles series composition, with SF setting supervision by Tow Ubukata and animation production by SOLA ANIMATION. Both the anime and the game are planned for 2027.

The August 2026 reveal added setting art for the protagonist unit Gundam Helix and the enemy Apocalypse, further linking the two works. The game is set in the later era of the shared timeline, letting players experience the conflict directly. The stories consistently place the game on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam for 2027, with the anime also slated for 2027.
