Automaton's series on overlooked domestic Steam titles spotlights ghostpia Season One by the creative unit Chosuido. The visual novel, a polished version of the browser and smartphone game, released on Nintendo Switch in March 2023 and on Steam in August 2023. It is set in a snowbound town of 1024 immortal ghosts and follows Sayoko, an outsider, and the newcomer Yoru. Chosuido calls it a "Denshi Graphic Novel," mixing picture-book art with glitches and noise. The unkillable ghosts turn slapstick violence into a meditation on loneliness.
