2K announced at PAX West 2026 that Sid Meier's Civilization VII will receive a free update, Arc of Tomorrow, in 2027, adding a fourth era, the Atomic Age, spanning the 1950s to the 2050s. New civilizations and leaders, including Gandhi, plus nuclear warfare systems and multilateral agreements, are included. A paid expansion, Earthrise, was also announced.
2K announced the first expansion DLC for Sid Meier's Civilization VII, titled Earthrise. The space-themed expansion adds celestial charts in early ages and space agencies in later ones, with missions across the solar system. Players can also reshape Earth's terrain and mitigate climate change effects. A free update adds the Atomic age in 2027.
ASCII.jp is running a series of Amazon Prime Day 2026 recommendations for Steam games, with several titles discounted through July 13. Three notable deals include Bandai Namco's Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown - Top Gun: Maverick Ultimate Edition at 79 percent off, dropping from 12,650 yen to 2,657 yen. The edition includes the main game, Season Pass with three additional missions and aircraft, and a Top Gun aircraft set. Firaxis Games' Sid Meier's Civilization VII is half off at 4,400 yen, down from 8,800 yen. The latest installment divides campaigns into three eras and allows separate selection of leaders and civilizations. Bandai Namco's Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is also 79 percent off at 1,317 yen, reduced from 6,270 yen. The definitive edition features upgraded graphics, additional playable characters, and scenarios not in the original Xbox 360 version. All three deals are available on Steam during the Prime Day event.
