Amazon will stream "Fallout Shelter: The Experiment" on Amazon Prime Video starting January 13, 2027, the company announced. The unscripted series runs 10 episodes and places contestants inside a Vault-Tec shelter inspired by the Fallout games, where they compete for a large cash prize through escalating challenges that test their abilities. The project was first announced under the working title "Fallout Shelter" on January 16, 2026, when participant recruitment opened. The official title and the streaming date are new. The show is one of several Fallout adaptations Amazon has in motion: a live-action Fallout drama streams on Prime Video through Season 2, and Season 3 was reported in 2025 as planned to film from summer 2026. Bethesda's merchandising arm is also active in the same window. DPI Merchandising announced a wearable T-60 power armor helmet replica, priced at $169.99 with shipping expected in May 2027, and a $199.99 power fist replica.

Bethesda Game Studios creative director Jonathan Rush says Fallout 76's C.A.M.P. system will move toward more freeform building, and that new raids are among the planned initiatives. Speaking around Fallout Day and a collaboration cafe in Omotesando, Tokyo, Rush said the team's past updates favored builders and adventurers while social, interaction-focused players have been underserved. He also said a large-scale Fallout 30th anniversary event is planned for Washington, D.C. in 2027.

uploader.jp, the free file storage service that includes getuploader.com and ux.getuploader.com, will close on November 25, 2026. The service announced the decision on its official X account, citing changes in usage conditions and other circumstances. All uploaded data will be deleted at 23:59 that day. Since 2006 it has hosted fan-made Japanese localization patches and mods for overseas PC games.

A PC mod called Dynamic Bottle Liquids is out on Nexus Mods for Fallout 4. It replaces the vanilla drink items, including Nuka-Cola, so bottles show liquid inside instead of a flat colored surface. The glass and liquid refract the scenery behind them, air moves when a bottle is shaken or tilted, and carbonated drinks form bubbles. The mod takes its cues from Half-Life: Alyx, but Fallout 4 VR is unsupported.

A Fallout collaboration cafe runs at TOWER RECORDS CAFE Omotesando from October 22 to November 8, 2026, timed to Fallout Day, the anniversary of the Vault sheltering. Four drinks include Sunset Sarsaparilla, Nuka-Cherry, Nuka-Orange and Nuka-Cola Quantum, plus takeout Purified Water. Good Smile Company's PLAMATEA plastic model line will add the T-60 Power Armor from Fallout, built to its pre-war military specification, in June 2027 at 9,800 yen. The snap-fit kit needs no adhesive, stands roughly 200mm tall, and comes with a minigun, assault rifle, 10mm pistol, fusion core and Nuka-Cola. Some color separation is handled with pre-painted parts. Max Factory handles planning and production, with Nobuhiko Asahina on the prototype.

Bethesda has released the officially approved Fallout 4 mod FEVer Dreams, made by Kinggath Creations. It is set in the restarted military research base Camp Jefferson. Players begin with no weapons, poisoned and hallucinating from an FEV strain, and must gather gear, solve puzzles and fight through a secret facility to find a cure. Courtenay Taylor and Brian T. Delaney return, each with over 1,100 new lines.

On the second day of Fallout Day Celebrations 2026, running October 19 to 23, Bethesda announced a Baby Deathclaw companion coming to Fallout Shelter in late 2026, part of the World Pets Initiative across multiple Fallout titles. Daily login rewards and an in-game store discount are running this week. Fallout 4 gets three Creations: FEVer Dreams launched today, Command Override launches October 21 North American time, and Fathomless is set for 2027.

INFOLENS will run "Fallout mini Collection" at its GEEK SHOP Ikebukuro PARCO Store from October 22 to November 3, held alongside a Fallout collaboration cafe. Microsoft is surveying some Xbox Insider Program users about what they would do if franchises such as Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, and Diablo became Xbox console exclusives, according to Windows Central. The survey also asks about PHYSINT, the Kojima Productions title, and offers answers including playing on an Xbox the respondent already owns, buying a new Xbox, or playing on PC. Call of Duty is not included.

A beta of "Fallout 4 Community Shaders," a fan-made graphics plug-in, is out on Nexus Mods. Kuzey Gok, a software development engineer at Microsoft, ported it from "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition." The beta adds upscaling, frame generation, and lighting adjustments. Installation needs prerequisite mods, the supported game version is Windows 1.11.240, and it conflicts with the separate plug-in ENB.

The team previously released the Fallout 2 mod Olympus 2207, and the new game sits in the same world 42 years later as a standalone story. Bethesda is selling a Fallout Limited Edition Nuclear Keycard Replica through its online store Bethesda gear (US) for $34.99. The item is modeled on the Nuclear Missile Key Card from Fallout 76 and is limited to 5,000 units worldwide, each engraved with an individual serial number. It measures 140mm by 75mm and has an antique finish with enamel processing on a nickel base.

Bethesda president Jill Braff told Obsidian Entertainment employees that the studio's move under Bethesda Softworks is mainly a change in reporting structure. The Xbox division reorganization Microsoft announced on September 22, 2026 places Obsidian under Bethesda's purview. Braff said in the email that Obsidian's creativity and strengths remain at the core of the studio and its works, that current management including CEO Feargus Urquhart continues to lead the studio, and that the Fallout series stays with Bethesda Game Studios. According to the email text published by IGN, Braff also said there are no plans to rework current development plans or ask teams to change the work they are doing. Obsidian is working on a new Fallout project with Bethesda Game Studios, and Braff said more details will be shared in the coming months. Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier reported in July that Josh Sawyer, a director on Fallout: New Vegas, is expected to lead the project.

Microsoft announced a wide reorganization of its Xbox game studios on September 22. The next Halo game will be led by a new dedicated team at Activision, separate from the Call of Duty team, with a small group staying at Halo Studios to support existing titles and the community. Rare and World's Edge also move under Activision. Bethesda takes oversight of Obsidian Entertainment, which continues Grounded and a new Fallout project with Bethesda Game Studios. Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games merge into one studio handling Forza and Fable. King absorbs Microsoft Casual Games. Microsoft will cut 268 positions across Halo Studios, other first-party studios, and Xbox Game Studios management and shared services. Matt Booty said about three-quarters of the reorganization plan is complete. Two sale agreements for Ninja Theory fell through, and the company begins employee consultations on a closure proposal. Consultations for Arkane continue through the end of the year.

Bethesda Game Studios' labor union, OneBGS, announced on its official Bluesky account that it has taken legal action against the studio over severance terms given to laid-off employees. The layoffs, affecting dozens of workers in Canada who worked on the Fallout and The Elder Scrolls series, were first communicated via video call on July 6, 2026, with employment initially set to continue until September while the union and company discussed severance. However, on July 17, the same day Bethesda announced future developments for both franchises, affected employees received an email notification stating they would receive only the legally minimum severance pay, including pay in lieu of statutory notice and unused vacation pay, without union negotiation. Affected workers also lost group benefits at that point. OneBGS stated that this response violates Canadian labor law and that it has initiated legal proceedings. The union commented that while Xbox and Bethesda generate large profits from their workforce, workers are being discarded, and it aims to end the cycle where employees bear the cost of management's decisions.

Infolens announced on June 18 that the Fallout Pip-Boy 3000 Replica will go on sale in Japan starting at 10:00 AM on June 19. The wearable replica reproduces the Pip-Boy 3000 from Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas at a 1:1 scale. It features a die-cast metal front case, injection-molded ABS body, and memory foam cuff. The device includes an IPS LCD display that shows in-game screens such as status and maps, a clock and alarm function, and an FM radio tuner. It can also play the Fallout 4 minigame Atomic Command. A gimmick simulates monitor distortion that can be fixed by tapping the screen. The product comes with a metal display stand, USB-C charging cable, FM radio antenna cable, size adjustment cuff, spacer bar, and a RobCo hex tool. The price is 77,000 yen including tax.
