Unit-02 is currently represented by two merchandise releases in 2026: a crossover Beast "G" Mode figure from Premium Bandai and a pairing with an EVA Mass Production Model in Sega's XrossLink prize figure line. No anime, manga, or game production involving Unit-02 is covered in these stories.
Coverage of Evangelion Unit-02 in 2026 is entirely merchandise-driven, with two separate figure releases touching different versions of the character. The older of the two is a Godzilla vs. Evangelion crossover: a metallic repaint of the Deforeal Evangelion Unit-02 Beast "G" Mode figure, sold through Premium Bandai with pre-orders opening July 3. The figure depicts Unit-02 eroded by G-cells, a design that had been released before and now returns with a glossy finish.
The newer story moves to Sega's XrossLink prize figure line, which is drawing on Neon Genesis Evangelion Theatrical Edition Air / My Purest Heart for You. Sega's release pairs Unit-02 with an EVA Mass Production Model as a two-figure set, each roughly 10 by 16 to 18 centimeters. Displayed side by side, the two figures recreate the battle scene from the film, and the products roll out sequentially from September 18.
The two releases point in different directions. The Bandai figure is a crossover piece and a repaint, priced at 16,500 yen and shipping in September 2026. The Sega figures are a scene-based pair from a specific film, sold as prize items rather than direct-order products. Across both stories, Unit-02 appears as a subject for figure makers rather than as part of any announced animation or game project.
