5th Grade Class B Case Files Releases July 26 on Steam
Chinese indie developer Li Laoshi Studio, in partnership with Eternal Dream, will release the mystery adventure game '5th Grade Class B Case Files' on PC via Steam on July 26, 2026. The game follows two fifth-grade girls, Hanamori and Nagomi (also referred to as Wamu in some sources), who investigate strange events at their elementary school. The full game consists of five chapters. On launch day, chapters 1 through 3 will be available: Chapter 1 is free, while Chapter 2 'The Ghost in the Painting' and Chapter 3 'The First Setback' will be sold as DLC for 395 yen each. A 20% launch discount will reduce the price of each paid chapter to approximately 316 yen. Chapters 4 and 5, titled 'Blood-Colored Wings' and 'Chaos Choir,' are planned for later release as DLC. Each chapter takes about one hour to play. The development team is a married couple: Li Laoshi handles scenario and programming, while Coordinate Zahyou handles graphics. Li Laoshi is a current teacher and mystery novel enthusiast. The game is already available as a demo on Steam, letting players try roughly one-third of Chapter 1 with Japanese subtitle support.
