Viz Media will release a 16-disc limited edition Blu-ray collection of all 24 Pokémon movies on November 24, priced at US$399.99. The set includes a Pokéball-shaped container and a mini art booklet. Pre-orders are open in the United States, and Amazon lists the release with Japanese language.

High-traffic articles carry higher rarity with foil effects. The game was built by the Foundation's Future Audiences team to spread Wikipedia to Gen Z.

Kalypso Media announced Rise of the Spellbaker for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 26, 2026, with a release scheduled for 2027. Hanashi Media announced it has licensed eight light novels for English release, announced in July and August. Grokipedia, the AI-generated encyclopedia from Elon Musk's xAI, has stopped reviewing reader-submitted edit proposals. According to Lawfare, the last 12 proposals processed were handled on April 24, 2026. Since then, all proposals remain in review status. An analysis of 34,519 pages found no approvals or rejections in the past three months.

Notable debuts include Ironfist Chinmi, a martial arts adventure by Takeshi Maekawa receiving its first official English release more than three decades after its Japanese debut, and She's Out of My League: Takane no Hana-san, a workplace rom-com by Koji Murata. Other exclusives are Devil of a Saint, Searching for Skeletons, Black Terror, Climax Necromance, and Plus-sized Love. Release dates range from May to August 2027.
Crypton Future Media announced on July 22, 2026, that a new smartphone game, Hatsune Miku Graphy Collection: Mysterious Music Comet Re:Merge, will launch for iOS and Android in fall 2026. The game is free-to-play with item-based microtransactions and features the six Piapro Characters: Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, and KAITO. The main visual, showing the characters smiling against a starry sky, was newly drawn by illustrator Kocha Majitaro. The game's genre and further details have not been disclosed and will be announced at a later date. The title suggests a connection to the music RPG Hatsune Miku Graphy Collection: Mysterious Music Comet, which ended service in 2020. To commemorate the announcement, special stickers will be distributed at the Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2026 events in Hamamatsu, Osaka, and Tokyo starting July 2026. Infinite Loop released DLC for virtual singers MEIKO and KAITO on the Desktop Mate platform on July 9, 2026. The paid add-ons, each priced at 2,200 yen, are available on Steam and add new 3D models supervised by Crypton Future Media, along with original motions and voice lines. MEIKO, who debuted in November 2004 as the first Japanese-language virtual singer, can be seen striking poses, singing, fixing her hair, relaxing with a drink, and waving when pinched. KAITO, the first male Japanese virtual singer since February 2006, performs singing gestures, poses, eats ice cream, and exits with a polite bow. Both characters have an alarm function that displays them full-screen at a set time. Desktop Mate itself is a free app that displays 3D characters on the PC screen, with additional DLC available for other characters. With the release of MEIKO and KAITO, all six Piapro Characters are now represented in Desktop Mate.
Microsoft's Xbox division is undergoing a large-scale restructuring that will cut approximately 3,200 jobs over the next year, part of a broader layoff of about 4,800 employees across the company. As part of the reorganization, ZeniMax Media will shift its strategy to focus on major franchises including Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, DOOM, Quake, and Wolfenstein, according to a Bloomberg report cited by multiple outlets. The restructuring has hit id Software, the studio behind DOOM and Quake, particularly hard. Reports from Game Developer and Game Informer, cited by GIGAZINE and GameSpark, indicate that roughly half of id Software's staff has been laid off, with former Bethesda executive Jeff Gardiner reporting 95 layoffs out of an estimated 185 employees. Viz Media announced a slate of manga and novel print releases for spring 2027, led by the physical English debut of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, the sequel to Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen. The series, set 68 years after the Culling Game, follows siblings Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu as an alien race arrives on Earth. It features a story by Akutami and art by Yuji Iwasaki. The three-volume series concluded in Japan in May 2026. Other spring 2027 releases include a Detective Conan 3-in-1 edition with original Japanese names, a Slam Dunk Deluxe Edition with reordered story arcs and new covers, Takemitsu Zamurai by Taiyo Matsumoto and Issei Eifuku, Junji Ito: Dissection, a hardcover career retrospective, and the yuri romantic comedy #Gal x Gal Yuri. CyberAgent and Cygames Pictures' Apocalypse Hotel original TV anime won Best Media, and its spinoff manga Apocalypse Hotel Pusupusu won Best Comic. Mecha designer Ikuto Yamashita won Best Artist. Other winners included Rokudo Ningen's Labeled Human for Best Japanese Long Story and Iori Miyazawa's "Tokitoki Channel: How to Make Nonexistent Weather" for Best Japanese Short Story.
MediaOCD and AnimEigo will release the restored HD Blu-ray of the 1988-1989 Vampire Princess Miyu OVA on or before September 8, 2026, but the disc will ship with a completely blank cover and slipcase. The company announced on May 29 that it had completed the HD remaster and sent packaging to Japan for approval over a year ago, but hit a procedural logjam in the Japanese copyright system that made no progress in over a year. MediaOCD founder Justin Sevakis stated that the company then discovered its license for the series expires next year, leaving no time for a proper release. To avoid letting the remaster go unreleased, MediaOCD decided to sell the Blu-ray exclusively through its own website with no artwork requiring approval. The release includes both the AnimEigo English dub and the Manga UK English dub, plus original Japanese audio. Pre-orders are open for $24.95. Sevakis added that if approvals ever come through for a real package, purchasers will be able to get one without rebuying the disc.
Round One Japan announced a collaboration campaign with the new Keroro Gunsou theatrical film, running from June 12 to August 30, 2026, at ROUND1 locations nationwide. The campaign includes themed menus, collaboration packs, decorated rooms at two stores, bowling score display videos, a score registration campaign, an SNS giveaway, and original goods sold at seven physical stores and online.
Bandai Namco Entertainment is partnering with short anime maker Plott to develop Tengutosen, a new intellectual property debuting in July.
