Dragon Striker Renewed for Season 2 at Disney, Early 2027 Premiere Set

Disney has renewed its anime-inspired series Dragon Striker for a second season, announced during the show's panel at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles. The new season will premiere in early 2027 on Disney+ and Disney XD, consisting of 11 episodes. The official synopsis states: "The Knights face broken friendships, buried secrets and ancient evil as they fight to reach the Banner's Helm final and risk everything for victory." The main voice cast returns, including Akshay Kumar as Key, Rebecca LaChance as Ssyelle, Yeukayi Ushe as Milo, Waylon Jacobs as Odward, and Evanna Lynch as Ameline. Composer Kevin Penkin, known for Made in Abyss and Star Wars: Visions, returns for the score, which was recorded in Japan with an 80-piece orchestra. The opening theme "Power of the Dragon" is performed by Sarah West, and the ending theme "The Very End" is performed by Kieran Rhodes. The series is produced by La Chouette Compagnie in association with Disney Television Animation, with co-creators Sylvain Dos Santos and Charles Lefebvre, and head writer Paul McKeown. The first season debuted in June 2026 and is currently streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.
