Bandai Namco Entertainment released a new trailer for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 during Sony's State of Play livestream on September 3. The video, titled "Fight Your Own Way," introduces the game's character creation system and confirms a new Android race among six playable options: Earthling, Saiyan, Namekian, Frieza Race, Majin, and Android. Players will customize a fighter's appearance, inherit techniques from Super Fighters, and choose a fighting style based on the moves of 130 heroes. The game is set in AGE 1000, where a mysterious hero arrives with no memory and meets a new generation of heroes who are university students in West City. The cast includes original characters Brett, Lilica, ROM, and Tap, alongside franchise figures like Bulma and Gamma 1. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is planned for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in 2027. The project was first teased under the codename "Age 1000" and has been in development for about six to seven years. Bandai Namco announced the joint project with Toei Animation in January.

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced on August 5 that it will exhibit five titles at Tokyo Game Show 2026, held at Makuhari Messe from September 17 to 21. The main booth in Hall 5 will feature playable demos for 'ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE', 'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3', 'One Piece: Sea of Delights Restaurant', and 'Bleach Mirrors High'. 'Tales of Eternia Remaster' will be present but only with a reservation campaign, no demo. 'ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE' is scheduled for release on October 2, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. It is the first in the series to feature a first-person perspective in its drama parts, and this will be its first exhibition at a domestic game event. Public days from September 19 to 21 will require a numbered ticket for the demo, distributed at the booth. Demo participants receive an original sticker. The Family Game Park at TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall will offer demos of 'Once Upon a Katamari' and 'Tamagotchi Petit Petit Store: Welcome! Nintendo Switch 2 Edition'. The ASOBI STORE satellite booth in Hall 11 will sell advance merchandise for 'Ace Combat 8', the 'Tales of' series, Katamari, Pac-Man, and Taiko no Tatsujin.

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that the final DLC for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Future Saga Chapter 4, will launch on July 8. The DLC adds new playable characters, missions, and content, closing out the game's post-launch support ahead of the 2027 sequel Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3.

Bandai Namco Entertainment is running a 90% off sale on the Steam version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, dropping the regular edition to 297 yen. The game has shipped over 10 million units worldwide and holds a Very Positive rating from about 42,700 Steam reviews. The sale comes as the final DLC chapter and a sequel, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, are planned for 2026 and 2027 respectively.

Japanese gaming site Inside has curated a list of eight major titles confirmed for 2027, including the final chapter of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, a full remake of the original Tomb Raider, and the debut title from Ikumi Nakamura's studio UNSEEN. The list also features new entries in the Virtua Fighter and Dragon Ball Xenoverse series, a new Gundam action game, and large DLC for Monster Hunter: Wilds.
