DPVR to Launch Two New DPVR G4 Colors in Japan
DPVR plans to release two new frame colors for its DPVR G4 AI smart glasses in Japan. G4 Amber Glow, a brown tortoiseshell pattern, is scheduled for late October 2026. G4 Stellar Blue, a blue tortoiseshell pattern, is scheduled for late December 2026. Ahead of those releases, DPVR will run the G4 Creator Preview Program from late September 2026. The program gives media personnel and creators 10 units each of G4 Frost Crystal, a clear color, and G4 Shadow Black, a black-based color, for 20 units total, free of charge with no return required. Participants are expected to post about the glasses on social media in their own formats, covering uses such as photo and video shooting, music playback, AI functions, and everyday coordination. DPVR says it will use participant feedback on fit, operability, and design in future product development and its Japan market plans. The DPVR G4 weighs about 42g, carries an approximately 8-megapixel camera, records 1080p/30fps video, and holds 32GB of internal storage.
