Agility Robotics announced Digit 5, a general-purpose humanoid robot that can work alongside people without safety fences, the company says. Compared with Digit 4, payload capacity rises 40% and it can repeatedly lift objects up to 50 pounds. Its battery runs 90 minutes on a 9-minute charge, enabling more than 20 hours of productive work in 24 hours. Early access is scheduled for the first half of 2027, general deployment for the end of 2027.
