Celsys and Mangadraft Name Winners of 8th Global Comic Awards

Celsys and Mangadraft announced the winners of the 8th Global Comic Awards on August 6. The contest, themed "Impact," drew over 800 entries from around the world. GaeZin won the Manga Grand Prix for "IMPACT," and Cabrita Cuernitos took the Webtoon Grand Prix for "Punch Back!" Winners received comments from guest judges, prize money, and CLIP STUDIO PAINT.

Kodansha Releases First Footage of Manga Drawn in Space With CLIP STUDIO PAINT

Celsys announced the release of footage showing manga being drawn in space for Mission: SPACE COMIC, Kodansha's project to draw manga in space. The demonstration used the Kibo module's robotic arm on the ISS. Celsys provided technical support through CLIP STUDIO PAINT, its illustration and manga creation app.
