Cat Island Launches on Steam, Lets Players Build a Town for Cats
Domkegames and pixelduckoo released the management and decoration simulation game "Cat Island" on Steam on July 21, 2026. The game is inspired by Japan's real "cat islands" and tasks players with building shops and arranging products on a floating island to attract feline visitors. Cats arrive with different desires: some want fresh sashimi, while others prefer tea and a sunny spot to nap. Players must observe each cat's behavior and stock items accordingly. Decorative items, including plants and figurines, are obtained through a gacha system, and over 100 types of decorations are available. The game includes four stages with distinct themes and goals, 17 types of buildings, a sandbox mode for freeform construction, and a decoration customization feature. The estimated playtime is 2 to 4 hours. The base price is 790 yen, with a 15% launch discount to 671 yen running until August 4. A demo version is also available on the Steam store page.
