Stephen King's 1974 novel Carrie has been adapted as a drama series, confirmed to stream exclusively on Prime Video with all eight episodes arriving at once on October 7. A key visual, scene photos, and a Japanese trailer were released with the announcement. Mike Flanagan is showrunner, writer, and executive producer, with King as executive producer. Summer H. Howell plays Carrie White; Samantha Sloyan plays Margaret.

Atari and Infogrames announced a console version of the simulation strategy game Carrier Command 2, with a trailer. Developed by Geometa and published by MicroProse Software in 2021, the game holds a 'Very Positive' rating on Steam from over 3,000 reviews. It will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2, with no release date yet. The game supports single-player and online co-op and versus multiplayer for up to 16 players. Players manage a shipboard colony, build bases, navigate alien seas, gather resources, and handle crew morale. The game emphasizes replayability through branching choices and specialization. It supports Japanese and is planned for Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store with Game Pass.
