USJ and Capcom Announce Biohazard Requiem Attraction for Halloween Horror Nights

Universal Studios Japan and Capcom have announced a new horror attraction based on the latest Resident Evil title, Biohazard Requiem. The attraction, named Biohazard Requiem: The Dive, will open on September 11, 2026, as part of USJ's Halloween Horror Nights event. It is an R-15 rated maze set in the Rennwood Hotel and a sanatorium, where creatures attack guests from all directions. The attraction runs through December 27, 2026. The collaboration marks the 30th anniversary of the Resident Evil series and the 25th anniversary of Universal Studios Japan. In addition to the attraction, Capcom revealed a commemorative mook, Nikkei Entertainment! BIOHAZARD 30th Special, releasing on September 25, and a large-scale exhibition, THE WORLD OF BIOHAZARD 30th Anniversary Exhibition, opening in Shibuya, Tokyo on October 30. The game Biohazard Requiem was released in February 2026 and has sold 6.9 million copies, with cumulative series sales reaching 201 million units.
