Code found in the first release candidate of macOS 26.7 pointed to an Apple game controller. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman now reports that Beats executives are involved in the concept and design of two controllers, carried under the codenames "T6502" and "T1057." Both are described as ordinary pads with A, B, X and Y buttons, clickable analog sticks, shoulder buttons and analog triggers, a home button and a menu button. Gurman gave no release date.
Music producer and DJ tofubeats will hold "tofubeats live in Tokyo 2026 'Angels On The Dancefloor'" on November 29 at Kanadevia Hall in Tokyo, billed as his largest solo performance to date and split into three parts. Guest artists will appear, with details to be announced later. Tickets are 6,600 yen for arena standing and 8,800 yen for reserved seats. The official first advance lottery runs from September 10 at 19:00 until September 13 at 23:59.
Muhansho Records announced a talk event 'CROSSOVER' on September 7 in the VRChat world 'AdHoc,' run by RIOT MUSIC, to commemorate Matsunaga Iori's final EP 'Timeless Beats.' Guest Jin, who produced the track 'NAMED,' joins for a two-person talk. The EP releases September 9.
Anime Anime reports that Angel Beats! is available for unlimited streaming across DMM TV, U-NEXT, dAnime Store, Hulu, and ABEMA, with all 13 episodes included. DMM TV is highlighted for its 550 yen monthly fee and 14-day free trial. The series, created by Jun Maeda of Key and produced by P.A. Works, aired in 2010.
Good Smile Arts Shanghai is re-releasing the Angel Beats! Nendoroid of Kanade Tachibana, with pre-orders open on Amazon.co.jp. The figure includes normal, clone, and happy face parts, plus the Hand Sonic and wings. It is priced at 6,520 yen and is scheduled for release on January 31, 2027. The prototype is by Mi Li Jun, with production cooperation from Nendoron.
The DJ unit JAMBORIDE, formed by BANVOX and SEKITOVA, is restarting after three years. The pair will play NIGHT HIKE 2026 in Makuhari on November 1, and will host a clubasia event in Shibuya on August 15 with tofubeats, Haraguchi Sasuke, valknee, and others. New music is in production.
ABEMA has announced five moving anime for free streaming in conjunction with Tears Day on July 3, 2026. The lineup includes Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, CLANNAD, Angel Beats!, Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World, and Crayon Shin-chan. Each work is selected for its emotional impact.
Abema is running a Tear-jerking Anime Free Release Week from June 2 to June 7, 2026, featuring free simultaneous broadcasts of all episodes of Clannad Season 1, Angel Beats!, and Charlotte. Each title will air multiple times on the Anime SPECIAL 2 Channel, and episodes are available for free for one week after broadcast.
Music producer and DJ tofubeats will release a new EP titled 'Angels On The Dancefloor' on May 29. The lead single 'Daijoubu feat. Satoko Shibata' begins streaming May 22. The EP is his first original release in two years and reinterprets the Japanese club music genre 'J-CLUB' for a 2026 dancefloor.
