A mod called 'True Third-Person Camera' has been posted on Nexus Mods for Baldur's Gate 3. It replaces the usual top-down perspective with a TPS-style third-person view. Players can switch between views by holding the Y button on an Xbox controller, the Triangle button on a PlayStation controller, or pressing the asterisk key on the numpad.
Baldur's Gate 3 is on sale on Steam at 30% off, 5949 yen instead of the usual 8499 yen, until August 6. SteamDB lists the price as the lowest the game has reached. The Larian Studios RPG, released in August 2023, won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2023 and holds a Metacritic score of 96.
Larian Studios released a set of statistics for Baldur's Gate 3's third anniversary on August 3. Mod downloads passed 500 million, with 13,000 uploads. The studio also detailed NPC death counts, Dark Urge kill rates, and final-boss weapon choices, including a record for a joke weapon used only four times.
