Medicom Toy is adding Asuka Langley Shikinami and Rei Ayanami from "Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition" to its ASM (ANIMATION SOFVI MUSEUM) sofubi line. Both figures stand about 22 cm, are sculpted by HaRu, and cost 19,800 yen each with tax included. Reservations run from September 24 to October 31, 2026 at the Medicom Toy official store, Yahoo!, and Rakuten, with shipping set for March 2027.
Final Inc. will begin early backing for two new earphones on the crowdfunding service GREEN FUNDING from late October 2026. The ZE3000 ASMR for TINGLE is an ASMR-focused wireless model with Tingle and Relax modes and up to 7 hours of playback. The VR3000 PRO for Gaming pairs Bluetooth with a USB-C transceiver, adds FPS, MOBA, and FIGHTING presets, and lists latency of 30 ms or less. Prototypes of both appear at Potafes Osaka on October 3.
feath announced VOrbit ASMR on September 8, a virtual dummy head microphone for 2D VTubers. The Windows software reads tracking data from VTube Studio, nizima LIVE, and VMC Protocol apps and places the user's mic input as binaural audio in space, so the avatar's movement moves the voice. A free Steam playtest is recruiting about 30 participants for two weeks to a month.
final Inc. opened pre-orders on August 10 for ZE500 for ASMR CyberPatra, the fifth collaboration model with VTuber Suo Patra, made over five consecutive years. Patra supervised the project and designed the product and costume images, yielding two colors, Midnight and Pearlshine. The earphones feature two ASMR-dedicated sound modes and a new Touch de Patra function.

Medicom Toy's 18th wave of MAT deformed sofubi figures includes Plasma Minazuma from Ultraman 80 and Super Hipporito Seijin from the movie Great Decisive Battle! The Super 8 Ultra Brothers. Both are 25 cm tall and sold via lottery at the MEDICOM TOY OFFICIAL STORE. Applications run from July 24 to August 10, 2026, with shipping in April 2027.
Kinetic Games announced its new publishing label, Kinetic Publishing, will stream its first showcase on August 13 at 4:00 AM JST. The program will reveal the initial lineup of titles scheduled for release between 2027 and 2028, with narration by actor Ben Starr.
ANYCOLOR, the operator of the VTuber group Nijisanji, announced on July 24 that it will release "Absolutely Won't Let You Sleep ASMR Voice Vol. 2" starting July 31. The product is a set of binaural-recorded situational voice dramas designed to keep listeners awake. It will be sold through the Nijisanji Official Store and the NIJISANJI EN Official Store from 11:00 JST on July 31 until 23:59 on August 31. The collection includes four editions, each priced at 2,500 yen. The Fura Kanato & Akina Saegusa Edition features the two livers and a story about meeting a stray cat. The Nanakira Otome Edition includes Suzuna Nanase, Tamako Kirara, and Berry Saotome in a healing cafe setting. The Ness Sakaki Edition is a solo track where Sakaki tries to keep the listener awake after a pachinko win. The Sango Suo Edition is another solo track with a study-session premise. Each edition comes with a purchase bonus of a key visual and PC and smartphone wallpapers of the individual livers.
Koei Tecmo Games announced on July 24 a second ASMR installment for the Atelier Ryza series, titled "Atelier Ryza: Claudia ASMR ~Time of Peace and Journey to Tomorrow~." The audio work will be distributed on DLsite in mid-August at an undecided price. It is an all-ages production recorded binaurally, depicting peaceful moments between Claudia and Ryza during a picnic at Cape Homesick and in a secret hideout. Voice actress Hitomi Ohwada, who plays Claudia, is listed. The first ASMR work, "Atelier Ryza ASMR ~Healing Rest and Promise for Tomorrow~," was released in November 2025 and featured scenarios from Claudia's perspective. The new work appears to shift perspective, presenting the scenes through Claudia's voice. At Comic Market 108, held August 15 and 16 at Tokyo Big Sight, a linked special booth will offer cosplayer performances, audio and video experiences, and limited goods including collaborative earphones, acrylic stands, and B2 tapestries. A campaign will give a limited voice ASMR card of Claudia and Ryza to customers who spend 3,000 yen or more at target booths.
Asmodee Digital has implemented the 7 Wonders Leaders expansion for the board game 7 Wonders on Board Game Arena. The expansion adds two new civilizations, Rome and Abu Simbel, and introduces a new card type: Leaders. Players can play a Leader at the start of each era for a cost, or use them for wonder construction or coins. Rules adjustments include increased starting funds. The version on BGA is the second edition compatible with the expansion.

The 2026 schedule focuses on stability and comfort improvements, with hundreds of bug fixes planned. Kinetic Games announced on June 24 that the 1.0 update for Phasmophobia, originally planned for 2026, will now launch in late 2027. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will release alongside the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S versions, with full cross-play. The delay is part of a broader effort to meet quality standards and rebuild player trust after a controversial player character update earlier this year. A new roadmap details 2026 updates: the "13 Willow Street" rework on July 21, two quality-of-life updates in July and August, a Unity 6 migration in October, a second player character update in November, and the "42 Edgefield Road" rework in December. The 1.0 update will overhaul ghost designs, replacing zombie-like models with unique, story-driven appearances tied to individual deaths and backgrounds. A new collectible system called Conduits will replace bones. The audio system is being rebuilt with Wwise to create spatial sound that changes with room structure and materials. Narrative elements will be added through environmental storytelling, gradually revealing the mysteries of the organization G.H.D. and the ghosts. Developers cited Japanese horror films like Ring and Ju-On as inspiration for an "invisible fear" approach.
DOSMan Publishing released a demo for the roguelike FPS 'Neurospasm' on Windows PC via Steam. Developed by Volutedberet, the game involves connecting a brain directly to a computer and fighting flesh-like enemies. The demo covers the first of five layers, with over 80 items and one boss. The full release will add more content.
Security researcher Rasmus Moorats discovered that Creative's Katana V2X sound system can be attacked via Bluetooth from up to 15 meters away, allowing malicious firmware to be written to the device. The exploit, called Pwnd Blaster, could turn the speaker into an eavesdropping device or a keyboard input tool. Creative did not patch the vulnerability.
