Furyu's Anomalith Surpasses 40,000 Steam Wishlists, Tanaka Romeo Writes Short Story

Furyu announced that its upcoming survival third-person shooter Anomalith has surpassed 40,000 Steam wishlist registrations. To mark the milestone, the company published a short story titled '■■ Handwritten Notes Found in the Mountains' on the official X account. The story was written by Tanaka Romeo, who is handling the game's scenario. The short story is meant to convey the game's unsettling atmosphere, where a familiar place gradually becomes one from which there is no return. Furyu plans to release additional special content at each wishlist milestone; when the next goal of 50,000 is reached, an original illustration by character designer MON is scheduled to be released. Anomalith is a survival TPS set in a Showa-era retro Japan. Players investigate a special space called the 'Otherworld,' a liminal space that suddenly appeared, searching for a friend who went missing after being swallowed by it. The game is scheduled for release on October 29, 2026, for PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam. The standard edition costs 8,580 yen, while the limited 'Hazard Zone Countermeasures Office BOX' and Digital Deluxe Edition each cost 12,100 yen.

Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2 Trailer Reveals 3 New Cast Members

The second season of the Skeleton Knight in Another World anime has received a new promotional video and key visual, revealing three additional cast members. Mitsuo Iwata, Kento Hama, and Hiroshi Naka join the voice cast as Charos, Ein, and Hanzō, respectively. The season is set to premiere on AT-X on July 4 at 8:30 p.m. JST, with a repeat broadcast on July 6, followed by airings on Tokyo MX and BS11 on July 9. Crunchyroll will stream the series. The second season sees several staff changes from the first season: Toshizo Nemoto takes over series scripts from Takeshi Kikuchi, Chisa Shibata replaces Hideki Inoue as sub-character designer, and Jia Fang Lu replaces Kenta Tsuboi as art director.
