Aikatsu Stars! has a new theatrical film, Aikatsu Stars! ~Hoshi no Progress~, confirmed for a January 22, 2027 release. A key visual, main trailer, and partial theme song have been released.
The 10th anniversary Aikatsu Stars! film moved from an early spring 2027 window to a set date. When the project was announced in July 2026, it was billed as Aikatsu Stars! ~Hoshiboshi no Progress~, with a teaser video and a visual of Yume Nijino in a new dress. By October 17, the title had settled to Aikatsu Stars! ~Hoshi no Progress~ and the release date to January 22, 2027.
The story follows Nijino Yume and friends near graduation, summoned by Elza to the Venus Jamboree. Teruo Sato and Yuko Kakihara were attached at announcement and remain so: Sato directs, Kakihara writes the screenplay. The October announcement also brought a key visual, a main trailer, and a partial unveiling of the theme song "Five stars".
Nijino Yume also placed second in Anime Anime's 2026 Rainbow Day reader poll, which drew 102 respondents. That result is the only measure of the series' standing outside the film campaign in this coverage. The rest is the film's release schedule, and it is now fixed.
