AlterStaff founder Wengu Hu discussed AI2U: I'll Stay With You to the End ~Yandere Cat-Ear AI Girlfriend, a PC/Mac escape adventure released August 13. The yandere characters run on LLMs and react to player speech or voice input. The project began as a 2023 itch.io prototype called Yandere AI Girlfriend Simulator, built in three weeks with Vivianna Yan. The game is on sale until August 27.
AlterStaff Inc. released AI2U: Last Together, a yandere AI girlfriend escape adventure, on Steam on August 12, 2026, ending its early access period. The game, which began early access in January 2025, features four AI-driven heroines: Edy the cat girl, Elicia the witch, Estelle the hologram AI, and Iona the mermaid. Players wake up trapped in a room and must use free-form conversation, powered by a large language model, to either persuade the heroines to let them escape or choose to stay with them. The game supports Japanese and offers multiple endings per chapter, with players able to return to the same setting to try different outcomes. Version 1.0 focuses on polish, adding two new tracks for the final stage and credits for the good ending. The developer stated that the main story and core features were already implemented during early access. The game is priced at 1,700 yen, with a discount to 1,190 yen until August 27. As of writing, Steam user reviews exceed 1,600 and are rated "Very Positive." The developer disclosed that art, story, music, and worldbuilding are created by humans, with AI generating only in-game dialogue and voice.
