Sunsoft has announced SUNSOFT is Back! Retro Game Selection 2, an omnibus of four Famicom titles: Ikki, The Mystery of Atlantis, Super Arabian, and Maharaja. Maharaja, released on September 29, 1989, is ported for the first time since then. The collection adds save and rewind features and a Gallery Mode with original artwork and flyers. It arrives December 17, 2026 on Steam, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
The collection covers four Sunsoft Famicom releases: Ikki, The Mystery of Atlantis, Super Arabian, and Maharaja. Three of them have circulated before in some form. Maharaja, a command-selection adventure crossed with an RPG, has not been ported since its September 29, 1989 release.
Modern conveniences come with the package. Save and rewind cover the parts of the 1980s design that have aged worst, and a Gallery Mode collects original artwork and flyers from the period. A Collector's Box adds a physical recreation of the bamboo spear from Ikki and a conquest map of Atlantis Island. The collection launches December 17, 2026 on Steam, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
- Ikki: Famicom version released November 28, 1985; an uprising action game said by some to be the world's first game called a "kusoge"
- The Mystery of Atlantis: Released in 1986
- Super Arabian: Released July 25, 1985; Arabian rescues the captured princess Leia
- Maharaja: Released September 29, 1989; fuses a command-selection adventure with an RPG, first port
