Starry Dome Announces The Wandering Earth: The Last Full Moon

Publisher Starry Dome announced The Wandering Earth: The Last Full Moon, a third-person shooter developed by Surgical Scalpels, and released an announcement trailer. The game adapts Liu Cixin's short story The Wandering Earth. Its story is set at the end of the project's first phase, as the United Earth Government moves to use 12 lunar engines to push the Moon out of Earth's orbit. Combat takes place on the lunar surface and in space, and gravity changes how you fight.

The game is set before the "Wangri window" closes, with the protagonist carrying out a mission that decides humanity's survival. Giant structures such as the lunar engines and immigrant ships appear in the trailer, setting human scale against the machinery.

Combat shifts between the lunar surface and outer space, and the different gravity environments change how fights play out. Surgical Scalpels previously worked on the FPS Boundary, which centered on zero-gravity combat in space.

The release date is undecided. The game does not currently support Japanese display.
