Patlabor the Case Files Launches on PC and PS5 with Near-Original Voice Cast
The game's reliance on near-original voice recordings and veteran Patlabor staff puts its appeal in nostalgia for the source rather than in new animation production, which is the same ground the announced Patlabor EZY project is meant to cover.

Chime's action game Patlabor the Case Files launched on September 17 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store and for PS5, published by Good Smile Company. It adapts scenes from the TV anime, OVA, and films, with Another Mission stages played from the opposing side and a simulator mode. Yutaka Izubuchi, Kazunori Ito, and Akemi Takada supervised, and Kenji Kawai wrote the opening theme.
The launch covers PC (Steam and the Epic Games Store) and PS5. Chime developed the game and Good Smile Company published it. Stages draw on the TV series, OVA, and films, including the Griffin storyline, and the Another Mission mode lets players take the opposing side through stages built around Brocken and the HAL-X10.
Line delivery uses near-original cast recordings taken from the anime, and the opening theme, "the Case Files," is a new piece by Kenji Kawai. A limited white Griffin plastic model is included with the special edition.
