Macross's VF-1J Super Valkyrie In Max's Colors Gets A DX Chogokin Release
Max's VF-1J is the version of the Valkyrie the DX Chogokin line had not put out until now, so the release fills a gap in the line's Macross coverage rather than adding another Hikaru unit.

Tamashii Web has opened preorders for the DX Chogokin VF-1J Super Valkyrie (Maximilian Jenius's Unit) from Super Dimension Fortress Macross, priced at 36,300 yen including tax with shipping separate and shipment scheduled for March 2027. The figure transforms between Fighter, Battroid, and Gerwalk with or without the Super Pack, and includes reaction missiles under the wings, TV-style arm missile launchers, round hand parts, and a reconfigurable stand.
The preorder window opened on October 2, 2026, and the figure ships in March 2027. The body measures roughly 300mm in Fighter mode and is built from ABS, die-cast, and PVC.
The set carries the Super Pack parts, two connected large anti-ship reaction missiles and two singles, pylons, a gunpod, a pilot figure, Gerwalk antennas, air intake shutters, and interchangeable round hand parts in three types for each side. The arm missile launchers follow the TV version's shape.
