Jupiter Announces Picross S CLIMAX for Switch 2 and Switch
After nine numbered entries, Jupiter is consolidating the series into one release and attaching a packaged edition, which asks returning players to bring their save data before they can reach the new puzzles.

Jupiter announced Picross S CLIMAX on September 15. It launches December 10 for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. The download version costs 2,980 yen, the Switch 2 packaged version 3,480 yen. It compiles 1,020 puzzles drawn from all nine numbered Picross S entries, plus 40 high-difficulty bonus puzzles unlocked through play data from those nine entries.
The bonus puzzles are gated on save data. The 40 high-difficulty boards added to Picross S CLIMAX unlock only if the console carries play data from the nine earlier Picross S games, so a buyer starting fresh reaches 1,020 puzzles and not the extras.
Modes break down as Picross and Mega Picross at 450 puzzles each, Color Picross at 90, Clip Picross at 15, and an Extra mode of 15 puzzles with boards up to 40x30. Button, touchscreen, and Joy-Con 2 mouse controls are supported, with button play open to four players at once. A Sound Player lets players pick background music from across the series.
