The dub arrives while the Japanese broadcast is still running, so Crunchyroll is keeping the English release close to the October 7 premiere rather than holding it for a later window.

Crunchyroll announced the English dub cast and staff for The Detective Is Already Dead season 2 on Monday, with the first dubbed episode streaming Wednesday. Austin Tindle voices Kimizuka, Xanthe Huynh plays Siesta, Arryn Zech is Natsunagi, and Jamie Marchi voices Hel. Jason Lord directs the dub, produced by Susie Nixon. The second season premiered in Japan on October 7.
The dub is a Crunchyroll Studio production, with Justin Cook, Michael Harcourt, and Nathanael Harrison as producers and Jason Lord as voice director. Jarrod Greene supervises adaptation, and Heather Walker writes the scripts.
The cast list is small and doubles up. Xanthe Huynh voices both Siesta and Noches, alongside Austin Tindle as Kimizuka and Arryn Zech as Natsunagi. Megan Shipman plays Char, Jamie Marchi is Hel, and Jad Saxton voices Saikawa. Meg McClain and Corey Pettit are credited as female students.
The Japanese side returns its season one team: Manabu Kurihara directs at ENGI, Deko Akao handles series scripts, and Yosuke Ito designs the characters.
