Asmec Picks Up Vecow's Fanless EAC-7000 Edge AI Computer

The EAC-7000 is a field-deployable Jetson Thor box for Japanese industrial buyers, which is what matters here: the robot brain is being sold as hardware with a support contract, not announced as a platform.

Asmec Picks Up Vecow's Fanless EAC-7000 Edge AI Computer

Asmec Corporation has begun handling Vecow's EAC-7000, an Arm-based fanless edge AI computer built on NVIDIA Jetson Thor and aimed at robots and autonomous mobile bodies. The higher-end Jetson T5000 module carries a 14-core Neoverse V3AE CPU and a 2,650-core Blackwell GPU, with AI performance up to 2,070 FP4 TFLOPS. A T4000 configuration reaching 1,200 FP4 TFLOPS is also offered. Five models cover camera input, PoE+, and 10GigE variants.

The EAC-7000 is rated for MIL-STD-810G vibration and shock, a wide operating temperature range, and 9-50V wide-range DC input, which puts it in vehicles, rail cars, and outdoor installations. I/O covers 2.5GigE LAN, isolated CAN, isolated DIO, USB, M.2 expansion, and two SIM slots, with PoE+ LAN and 8-16 GMSL automotive camera connections on some models.

Software support covers the NVIDIA JetPack 7.0 SDK, the Isaac Perceptor stack built on Isaac ROS, and Holoscan Sensor Bridge. Target applications run from AMRs and AGVs to machine vision, multi-sensor fusion, and industrial automation.
